I’ve been inspired by Austin’s Garage to see how far I can go in the process of “trading up” — starting with one thing, and selling or trading around to get something else of greater value. I ultimately want to go into cheap cars or motorcycles to tinker with using this method, but to kick things off I’ve just put my Radio Shack HTX-10 ham radio up for sale on eBay. We’ll see how much I get from that, then maybe swap another item or two around before moving on to vehicles in the spring, once I have space and the weather to wrench on things again.
This will be a new series on my YouTube channel. Once I start playing with cars and bikes I’m sure I’ll be writing it up for The Drive as well.
